    Texecom false alarms from GBV-0001

I’ve got 2 Texecom GBV-0001 wireless boxes. 1 I’ve had several false alarms from in the past 3 weeks and have had to disconnect it. When the sun catches it first thing in the morning it goes off and doesn’t come up on the keypad. I can’t disable it any way and have to wait until it finishes. No...

    Texecom adding another ricochet expander

Hi I’ve got a premier elite 24 and have run out of space on my 8 way expander. I’ve purchased a 32 way expander and would like to add further wireless sensors. Is there Any way to add this in addition to the current expander to save having to reprogram it completely (including the 2 high level...

Texecom ricochet bell box sounding randomly

I'll get the ladders at the weekend and see if the box has triggered a tamper. In the meantime I've deleted it from the panel in the hope it shuts it up Today it actually went off twice within half an hour. The sun does hit the box at that time of the morning yes- would that trigger it...

Texecom ricochet bell box sounding randomly

For the last 3 mornings whilst we are up and around one of my 2 wireless bell boxes has sounded and I'm unable to turn it off. Nothing comes up in the panel (prem elite 24) nothing in the event log. Checked ricochet diagnosis and box has signal (41 just now) and in contact within last 1 minute...

    Texecom ricochet contact

Just recommissioned, hasn't helped really with that one unit, it struggled to pick a signal up from it (it seems to be trying to connect directly from the ricichet expander which is about 30m away) just after it gave a signal strength reading of 21 but has come in and out of range. I will now...

    Texecom ricochet contact

Polling errors started about 2 months ago, working fine until then. I will order the larger unit anyway, and sightly change the position. I haven't recommissioned at all and have added a couple of other wireless things to it since, how do I do that?

    Texecom ricochet contact

How do I run the commissioning to re-establish the mesh? I have got to buy another sensor for another door so will just swap it for a full sized unit if that is best- is that the impaq one?

    Texecom ricochet contact

Hi, to answer the q's.. Batteries are a year old Sensor located at the top of the door on the inside The shed is (larch lap) timber with a couple of single glazed windows and it is 14 metres from the nearest ricochet sensor (which itself is probably a further 14 metres from the control panel)...

    Wintex connection

I normally connect my laptop to my Prem elite 24 by one of the comm ports inside the panel. It always seems a bit 'fragile' though and I worry about damaging the panel by doing this and I'd like to avoid connecting this way if possible, can I connect wirelessly to my panel?

    Texecom ricochet contact

Have had a couple of polling errors from the micro contact on the shed so had omitted from the system (the worst luck, broken into last night so really need to get this sorted now!) Having checked signal strength it is currently 18 (db?) according to the ricochet diagnostic on the keypad- is...

    Bosch tritech false alarms

I have a Bosch Tritech PIR (ISC-BDL2-WP12H) in a corridor which keeps false alarming (normally in the dead of night!) and I don't know why. I have actually replaced the unit with another brand new Bosch unit but it hasn't solved the problem so I guess it's the situation. The sensor is...

    Texecom prem elite 24 speaker/sounder

Thank you, got it. You inspired me to have a nosey round the area programming, turns out that the panel speaker wasn't attributed to any of the areas.

    Texecom prem elite 24 speaker/sounder

Panel volume is 7, tested when adjusting and test tone sounds fine- is there anything else?

    Texecom prem elite 24 speaker/sounder

I have a simple 16ohm speaker wired in to the aux+ and speaker- terminals, it works for warning sounds etc. But won't sound in the event of an alarm trigger. Checked the volume is up in the settings which it is, what am I doing wrong or if there another issue?
