hi' ideal w2000 has just packed up ..this was located in the kitchen on an internal wall with a flue going up through the roof and an air feed via a largish flexi pipe to the outside. ..bungalow with a loft conversion.. the heating engineer wants to replace this with the same type of boiler but...

it appears to be in the boiler..there is a drain just below it but nothing comes out .i've looked up the valve andyou can see it working. i drained a rad and then had nothing but probs..i've got water in my rads but not the boiler does this make sense ? gas ..indirect ..2 valves..ideal w2000...

hi' having problems clearing an air lock.. my friend has a hand vaccum pump..is it ok to connect it to a drain valve and pull the water through?. hopefully clearing the air lock

yes.. there appears to be an unusual drain valve in a loop just below the boiler and also a normal drain in the same pipe..neither of these will let anything out.. my friend has a vacuum pump. is it ok to use it on the drain below the boiler ?

hi' its an ideal w2000..the boiler is above the cylinder and pump...the pipes rise into the roof space .but there is a loop with a drain valve in that seems lower than the boiler but i cant get any water from it... being supid i drained the cylinder and the offending radiator.. in the loft...

hi' drained and refiled but no water in me boiler ..tried bleeding pump water there...theres a drain valve in the pipes behind the boiler but it wont spit any water out. shone a torch up there and you can see the valve moving. also theres a strange looking valve in the same loop dunno what it is...

hi . should my heating pump run all the time 'it isn't'.? can't get my boiler to fire up after changing a rad valve.guess it must be air .drained it a couple of times but still no go . i cant remember if my pump ran all the time or if it came on only when the boiler fired up ...any help...

how do i check the water pressure..? are you thinking it might be air locked ? there was a lot of sludge from the radiator that was drained. if there isn't movement of water will this stop the boiler from firing ?

help .thought id be clever and replace a leaking radiator valve ..no prob but on starting the heating up my boiler dosent fire up.pilot lights up ok and the lights on the programmer come on as if calling for heat but it just dosent fire up ....any ideas or a way of checking it gas heating...

hi,i bought a bungalow about 9 years ago that had loft converted to a bedroom problem is that i don't think it had building regs .the conversion was done sometime in the 1950s.did it need building regs then ?don't want to ask the building regs man if hes going to make me take it down ...any help...

hi' yep i've got a voltmeter. as for the wires blue wire in 2 yellow in 3 . red in 1 plus earth. 4' 5' 6' free. stat clicks at the right room temp..checked against a thermometer.just takes ages before heating starts ..have taken the head off sunvic heating valve and noted that...

hi, is this an 's' plan ?. gas. ideal w2000 .single pump with two motorised valves.... i've been looking at the honeywell smartfit system .it sounds to easy are there any probs with it and can i just stick the valve heads on to replace the old sunvic ones ?

if i take the motor head of and turn the valve to open .on turning stat up till it clicks .should the heating start ?

nope checked valves and they seem ok..is it possible that the room stat may be at fault .i say this because it looks like a fairly new addition and on inspection of the connection box the wiring looks scruffy and i wonder if it wasn't a pro job but a bodge.is there any way of getting a wiring...

gas central heating.we only seem to get central heating if we run the hot water taps..the boiler is an ideal w2000. with grasslin towerchron programmer 2 motorised valves honeywell t40 room stat ..havent been in the house long and am wondering if its been wired up wrong ..help !! pump runs ok..
