    Water pump/generator question

    We have a private water supply and pressurize our mains water with a pump. In the event of a power cut we have no water!!!!! I am thinking of getting a generator for emergencies, but I suspect the starting current of the pump will mean the size of the generator required will make it too...

    Opening a Hotpoint WD420

    Ground source systems

    We are tinkering about the idea if running our CH (and DHW) from a Ground Source system with a bore hole. I have the calcs for the rads using a conventional system. Is there a rule of thumb that using ground source (at al lower temp.) needs 20%, 30% ????% bigger rad??????????
