Immersion heater gasket

Hi All
Thinking I'm really organised I kept a spare immersion heater element just in case it went on Easter Sunday and everywhere was shut . Trouble is the heater is fine but I've lost the gasket .

Do I put up with no hot water till tomorrow, or are there any bodges to "make" a gasket that are guaranteed to work that I could try?

Just use PTFE on the threads

Has the element gone or are you just making sure your have supplies?

No I was joking that I was organised, it was only by chance I had a spare element but the annoying thing is I can't find the gasket for it , so element gone and tripping RCD, spare element in my hand but can't fit it - disconnected heater circuit so everything else working and will have to wait till Toolstation opens tomorrow for a £2.30 gasket!!!!
