I am looking at an early 1960s property which has some insulation board lining the boiler cupboard door. There appears to also be some external to the cupboard on a exchange.

It is manufactured by Cape, is it inevitable that this is asbestos? I could not see a product name on the sheet.

If it is, would this pose a danger even if it is in good condition or would it be better to get the heating taken out?

Unfortunately I have no pictures.

It could very well be as Cape manufactured asbestos. Unless there’s a sample test or a definitive marking stating otherwise, then treat as asbestos. If undisturbed then it’s ok, it’s when it’s disturbed that it becomes a risk. We (company I work for) still have properties with possible aib, but they’re left in as they’re not damaged.
