Sorry EFL, do you agree with Winston1 that I should use 3 core flex in this installation and terminate the unneeded earth wire in a terminal block?

I was always under the impression you use 1.5mm for lighting circuits.

Some people do, but some people use 10mm² cable for cookers when 4mm² is adequate.

What you propose in your original post is fine - honest.

Some people do but it is not necessary. 1.0mm is perfectly adequate, cheaper, and saves the planets valuable resources of copper. No brainer use 1.0mm.

I've done a few commercial and industrial lighting circuits in 2.5 and 4 milli.

I have an Integral 25W LED bulkhead in my bedroom.
