000s

Went to type in a word beginning with 'L' in the Google search box when dozens of '0s' started to fill up the box. The box holds about 25 or so and when I delete these another lot take their place. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when I was typing out a post and the zero's appeared and kept filling the page until I abandoned the exercise. Any ideas?

Nope. Dont eat or drink at the computer and dont smoke. But the immediate problem JohnD is how to get them out of the Google box - the more I erase the more they are replaced.

I returned to desktop and a pop-up informed me the Google desktop had unexpectedly quit and that I should relaunch it from the start menu. Well, I hadn't a clue how to do that so I restarted as you suggested and the 0s have gone. Cheers JohnD.
