Is the 1.3 duratec engine in the Fiesta the same as the 1.3 duratec engine in the Ford KA?

Can they fit in each car?

Yes you are correct, the engine is the same. Comes to something when it's cheaper to replace the engine than it is to repair the thing!! Daughters car, she dropped a valve..

what happened to make it drop a valve?
bit overkill to change the engine in my opinion for a bent valve

Ah there's more bent than the valve, best just to change the lot.

Might be worth comparing engine codes, less hassle if they are the same

Just finished it, thanks for the replies. I priced the part to fix the engine not taking into account damage if any inside. Odds are the head would have needed some work. I got a lump for £240 delivered, 25,000 mile and 90 warranty, trusted supplier in Stoke.

Change were, engine mount, hydrolic pump, thermostat housing and rocker cover. Runs like a dream.
