Do 1 inch compression nuts exist?

I've looked on BES and everywhere I can think of...

1" is now 22mm. You learn something new every day.

28mm is the nearest metric equivalent to 1", and 28mm compression fittings are available.

IIRC a lot of Imperial compression fittings used British Standard Brass threads, which were very similar to metric fine threads, but metric fittings tend to use much coarser BSP threads.

I believe 1" pipe can be fitted straight into 28mm fittings without any problems.

OK, Thanks.

Would a 28mm compression fitting be too big for 25mm blue MDPE pipe?

If so, would a 25mm copper olive on the MDPE help at all?

hang on, are you talking about MDPE fittings, or converting from MDPE to copper / plastic ? If it's for either, then there are MDPE fittings that are available for this purpose.

The only compression end to use BSP thread for the capnut/fitting body is 15mm. It is 1/2" BSP. All other sizes are "bastard" threads.
