1 inch gap in floor

Hi I recently removed a concrete fireplace, and have been left with a 1 inch deep gap in the floor, I was just wondering what the best and cheapest product to use would be to fill the gap, so that it evens out with the rest of the floor?

floor screed.

get youself a bag of sharp sand and some cement, mix it 3:1 and only add a little water to the mix. damp the area to be filled though.
