Ive got a rayburn that has 1" threads for the back boiler. Can I use 1" taperedx28mm fittings in there or will the tapered thread not seal properly?

Thanks as always
Nick

You can use taper threads.

Why would you want to if converting to copper is another question.

Cheers,
Its mearly because I have the 2 tapered fittings already from something else.
They are 1" tapered male x 28mm parallel compression elbows.

That would be a Conex 402TA.

I would question the suitability of a tight elbow in this application.

Depends on the fuel type.

An 1" black m & f bend and a Conex 302 mi x copper it most cases.
