I've been advised to get a '12v Radio Battery'. However, I don't have a clue what exactly this is. Its apparently like the one's they don't use often anymore.

I know this is a bit cryptic, but if anyone has any suggestion as to what this product is and where i might get one then that would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Fish

I believe Maplin have what you are looking for. I think I have seen such batteries in there.

I think this battery is one of the rectangular ones with spring-like terminals on the top. About the size of a clenched fist. I presume they are used by radio enthusiasts, Maplin covers these sorts of people.

Really old radios (1920s, 1930s) had 2 batteries, one of which was a rather high voltage (100V or so I think)... So be careful if you try to buy your "radio battery" off e-bay ;)
