Trying to install a new light fitting upstairs.
Removed old fitting, and installed new fitting.
Ceiling rose contains the following wires
4 red wires
3 black wire
1 black/red
4 green/yellow
All black wire connected together and to the new light. Neutral
One Black/red wire connected to the new light. LIVE
All green/yellow connected together.
All 4 red wires connected together
New unit is 12volt with a Toroidal transformer with 8 small 12v 20w bulbs.
When first connected the 2.5a fuse within the fitting blew immed the lights were switched on.
Reconnect normal two wire bulb to the two input wires this worked fine.
So why is the fuse blowing ?
