....

I'm only 28 (born 1980) but even still a lot of that rings true!

Going out to play until dark - we had a very strict "curfew time" - normally half an hour after sunset, if we weren't in by then there was hell to pay but no-one really worried until we were an hour or more late!

Climbing trees! I was the best in our village, being a bit skinny and long-of-limb! To this day when I visit I look at the top of those trees and wonder how I'm still alive but I am!

Home-made karts - yup! And with a 1:5 hill to hand that was always good fun! (yet again as far as I remember my friends and I went through some hedges but never broke a bone)

The bit about no video games is a bit early for me because I did have a computer from age 8 (a Sinclair Spectrum no less!) but without "t'internet" it meant my friends had to come round and play it too (or I'd go round theirs and play their C64 or whatever), and if it was too hot, well we'd be back out and up the trees again!!
