Hi all. Is it possible still to buy 18th Edition regs book as a PDF?

So far only found hard copies or subscription to Web based platform.

Preffer having regs as PDFs as can use find tool on acrobat to get specific requirements quickly as dyslexia means I'll miss/skip over the bit I'm looking for 100 times before I find it in hard copy

Does not exist. It's the printed book, or the subscription for the rest of your lifetime affair using proprietary software which could cease working or be changed without your consent at any time.

@ScottishGasMan If you take a subscription to the electronic version with the IEE then you get to download via Vitalsource. The subscription allows you 2 active pc's at the same time, so you can have it on your tablet/phone and pc. You also get the On site guide and other books depending on which package you buy.

I have been using it for the last 2 years without issue and will be renewing again shortly.

What happens when a newer version of any of the books is issued?
Can the old ones still be accessed permanently and forever?
Or do they disappear never to be seen again?

You are buying nothing. It's just a limited time permission to look at the book for as long as the publisher decides that you can.
It also ensures anything in the past can be deleted as if it never existed, which is the entire opposite of what publishing books is about.

Probably not,

Or do they disappear never to be seen again?
I guess so,

I get the impression you don't like the IEE. I'm retired and just subscribe to keep up with the regs. Not that bothered to be honest and it saves me trying to store a load of books. Easier to search too.
