I've got an extension that was done sometime in the 1980's that has extended the kitchen and back room/lounge, both of these are long and narrow as there' a dividing wall, I'd like to know if I'm able to remove the wall to open up the 2 rooms?
the clear span length is 3.1m with a width of 5m the roof pitch is 16 deg with rafters 40cm on centres and a size of 145x45mm, there are 2 purlins running across the width which rest on the dividing wall and their size is 215x45mm, one is 80cm from the back of the house with the second spaced1.2m apart, I've attached image for illustration of the layout and would like to know if i can remove the light grey dividing wall that the purlins rest on?
