If you come accross 2 flexi connections to a U6 meter does the consumers side have to be changed to rigid pipe? or do you just issue a NCS?

Since when has there been an issue with 2 flexis on a meter? (providing it's screwed to wall or sat on floor/shelf.)

excerpt from BS 6400 8.9.2 says "only one pliable connection shall be used within the meter installation"
the reason given is to minimise tampering

ncs then
other type pipe such ones made for water are id
cookere flexi are ar

Wrong! Any pipework used for the carriage of gas that is not suitable is only AR, providing it is not leaking.

Yu could find hoselock pipe and fittings running to a gas fire and providing it was tight it would still only be AR

then get back to me

Two flexes a problem only because if you tip the meter up and lie it on its back it will register slowly. We were told when replacing meters at BG in the 80,s we MUST renew the outlet if on a flex. However I am now coming across meters replaced two years ago and on two flexes, why ?
