So bought a house a year ago and the guy said he disconnected the outside light so I changed it but I can't seem to wire it up, any help appreciated!

What does the button on the switch control now?

Assuming the other disconnected wires connect to the light you'll need to see which one's are live and connect it to the other triangle on the switch.

Our hallway light, I managed to get them both going but it would turn one off and the other one on so unsure of what I'm doing wrong/where to put the wires, I know the red and black wire not connected come from the outside light, just not sure how to connect it

Connect the red to the unused COM terminal along with the black wire to L1.

With the original wires, connect them similar to above but in the other triangle of the switch.

As above, don't forget to link both red wires.

so connect the red thats in coms to the other coms aswell and then leave the black where is or connect to the blue wire?

the outside light fitting is red black and an earth/ground wire

And the red and yellow wire currently in the switch just turn on the hallway light

then put the red (the one in the terminal block right now) to COM on the other triangle of the switch.

The same as the black wire to L1.

You might need to link both commons with a short piece of wire.

leave the blue wire where it is.

Do you not think the blue should join to the black?

Have you looked in the hallway light? A picture of that wiring will help
