I have 2 wall lights on the far side of the room and 1 on the near side. There was a double dimmer previously which had red cables connected to the "C" and black to the L2 on both and another red connecting to & from the "C" connections. I am replacing with a 2 gang rocket switch and cannot get both sets of lights to be on at the same time with both switches in the on position. i.e. switch a is off and the near lights are on & switch b is on and the far lights are on. Looks stupid, how should I be wiring so both are on when the switches are both in the on position?

thanks

What happens when you turn switch a on? Do the lights go off? If so, you need to alter connection of black wire on switch a

exactly the same as the old one..
red to c with a link to the other c
one black in one of the L2's, the other black in the other L2..

sorry - forgot to mention that the new switch has L1, L2 & L3 and no "C". Which "L" replaces "C"?
