Incorrect.
Why? I have done it in the past. If two items are closely associated in type, and always physically close to each other, and low wattage, and can be easily and safely accommodated, then fine.

Incorrect.
Agreed, as long as the wiring was properly secured in the plugs terminals and the cable grip was adequate, I wouldn't fail it on a PAT.Whilst it might seem a bit off at first thought, assuming everything was done correctly what really would be the problem with having two cables in one plug?
Well, it worked for me. Also, at my old workshop, I had an outside socket. So that it wasn’t permanently on for others to possibly use, I connected it to another socket on the inside using a piece of 2.5 twin and earth cable. Again, it worked for me.![]()

And I don't believe I have seen any PAT guidance that has suggested otherwise?
Is it permitted by BS 1363?Please do explain, what might be wrong with two items, wired into one plug?
