2 month old turf turning red?

Hi,

I laid some turf about 2 months ago. Spent a lot of time clearing the ground etc.

This week I have noticed a couple of areas of the lawn turning a rusty red colour as in the photo.

Any idea what this is and how I can cure it?

I thought it was a fungal disease? had it on a lawn a long time ago. You could try spraying with a GP garden fungicide. Usually a healthy lawn in good condition will recover though. Maybe laying a new lawn in mid-summer gave it a hard time. Next year when it has made good roots it will be stronger.
