2-pin adapter

I used to have an adapter which plugged into a 13A socket, and had a 13A socket on it, and 2 x 2-pin sockets, one on each side, so you could use a 2-pin plug (shaver, toothbrush, etc) and not give up the 13A the adapter was plugged into.

Anybody ever seen one in the last X years?

Is there a name for that type?

I can find ones which have a 13A outlet as well as the 2-pin, but they all also have built-in USB chargers, which (a) I don't need and (b) as they are Chinese-unknown-brand I worry about their safety.

Cant answer. But..
I cut the 2 pin plugs off toothbrush charger ect and fit a standard uk plug.
You can also buy adaptor that clip over 2 pin plugs to convert to UK 3 pin.

What I don't know is how people get away with selling products without either a UK plug or an adapter - I thought there was a law about that.

Like, I'm sure, 99.99999999999999999999% of toothbrush chargers, mine has a "European" 2-pin plug, not a UK shaver type.

I have loads of adaptors, many from when working in Hong Kong, and it seemed you can get all sorts, but so many have no shutters, or no fuse, and even when I got them in the UK, I know they don't comply.

I thought the idea of plugging an iron into the lights was great, it kept the lead out of the way, but the BA22d to two pin socket adaptor is now only sold as part of a kit with a test meter.

I have many adaptors which I know can't buy today in a high street shop. But I know, if plugged into an extension lead, they are OK as there is a fuse in the extension leads plug.

Only one of those three complies, the one to left, the one to right is really handy to charge stuff I got in Hong Kong, but not really permitted, and never has been.

I've got a multi-component travel adapter, you can plug it together in different ways and turn any number of types of socket into any number of others.

Including unearthed 2-pin sockets into 3-pin 13A (I won't dignify that with a BS number)

And a BS1363 into another "BS 1363" but with the earth not carried through.

And my favourite - a BS 1363 to a Euro 2-pin with no fuse anywhere.

Not seen that style. Ever.
I have one 13A fused plug style with a 5A on the 'face', and two 2A 2-pins either side, exactly as you describe. Likely over 50 years old (and unsleeved 13A pins, and no shutters of course - how did we not kill ourselves in those days?).
Now where exactly did I last see it?

We used to have a number with a couple of BS372 (UK 5A) but likewise not seen any for a while, I do have a couple of single 'shaver only' adapters which I can instantly lay my hands on which sometimes see the light of day for visitors.
