Hi, this is a two fold question. I've been reading about the debate whether to use bathroom paint or not - this hasn't led me to any conclusions!

I'll be painting a small bathroom - approx 2 x 2 metres. It has a shower cubicle it it which will be used most days. It will have a standard bathroom extractor in it.

Firstly, should I use a specialist bathroom paint, or is normal vinyl matt ok? (I would like a matt finish)

the other thing is, I would quite like to use a vibrant, bright colour (such as lime or orange), but the bathroom paint that dulux produce come in a pretty limited range of colours.

on second look, dulux do bathroom+ mixing range.

so I guess the question is just whether to use it or not.

thanks

I cant speak for the others but personally I wouldnt buy it if it as the last paint on earth..hate the stuff, Its like glue to apply.

so would you advise I just use a (dulux?) matt emulsion?

You can really use anything..providing you have good ventilation and an airflow in there.

Acyrlic eggshell is a good choice too...its the trades version on kitchen and bathroom paint (something we rarely use and isnt specified either)..it goes on better as well.
