I have a Greenbrook timer switch installed to operate the landing light from upstairs and downstairs. It has gone wrong and while I could replace it, I plan to dispense with it and use a conventional arrangement.

The Greenbrook is wired with one lead in the live terminal, two in the load and one in the 2-way.

My MK conventional 2-way switch is marked 1 (1 way), 2, and Com.

I assume that the two wires together in the load should go in the Com. Is that correct?

Thanks for any help.

That's a very strange assumption. There are many Greenbrook timer switches- exact model number or a pic of the back of it would be helpful.

Do you have timer switches at both switch positions? That's an interesting circuit diagram....

Must be missing a yellow at the switch position?

Those instructions are a real dog's dinner.
