2007 Petrol Fiesta Intermittent Starting

When turning key, sometimes starts sometimes silence. No clicking etc.

I'm guessing it's the classic sticky starter motor.

Only started doing it recently. Weather been damp and not driven much recently.

Putting the question out there to see if anyone has any other thoughts or suggested fixes.

Simple quick test. Turn the headlights on when attempting to start. Do they do dim as you turn the key?

Will try that. Whay does it mean if they do or do not dim?

If they don't dim the starter isn't drawing current so the issue is the supply.

If they do dim, it suggests the starter, or earthing.

But is a good starting point to help diagnose
