Do anyone know of a source, apart from Hyundai, from where to get a brake master cylinder.

part number of the original is 858101J700

Seems to be that way John. I've looked across cyberspace and can't find one.

Will call the local Hyundai tomorrow.

Does anyone know who manufactures the factory supplied brake cylinders for Korean cars?

Managed to source one at a breakers, same reg and engine, who said the car drove in and had a pedal before it was drained. I handed it to the garage who fitted new pipes too. All done and working.

Funny, all the breakers say 'aye, it was fine when it was driven in'!
What was the problem with the old one? I must confess to fitting two of these things (in good faith) when they didn't really need it.
John :)

John :)

It seems operating the brake pedal when the system was empty had flipped the seals in the master.

When they fitted the new pipes and tried to bleed, there was no pressure at the master's ports.
