Hi
I have a 206 the garage changed some water hoses at the back of the engine when ibpicked it up it didnt start properly. Ticked over for a long time then started, they said starter motor may of got wet will dry out. 4 days later I started it still took ages to start then cut out. Jumped started it and took for a drive felt really sluggish and smelt like I was putting my foot flat to the floor on my accelerator. Any ideas

thank you

forgot to say its a 1.4 hdi

My guess is that there's been a sensor wire pulled apart when the work was done......access is pretty tight down there! Another possibility is that the crankshaft sensor has been drowned, but thats a real long shot.
The starter motors fine, so long as its cranking the engine over.
John :)

Hopefully they just knocked off an electrical connection. Go back and ask them to check, or ask someone to help you have a wee look under the bonnet.
If the starter is turning the engine, but the engine will not start, doubtful that its a wet starter.

Edit1 5:49 pm !!
Sorry John, didn't see you there ............
