My boiler specifies 24v for the room thermostat. Do I have to use a 24v specific thermostat or can I use a 230v one? I have seen some specs for the stats as having a supply voltage of 24v-230v. Thanks.

you need a voltage free contact thermostat most are these days, some are battery powered , some are mains powered, what boiler do you have and what thermostats are you looking at? do not put 240v into a 24v boiler or you will make a very expensive mistake

It's quite an old boiler, a Ravenheat. I was looking at a simple wired mechanical one like the Honeywell T6360. I think the T6360B is the 24v rated one.

I'll have a look at that, thanks.
