Hi, I'm looking to purchase an outdoor cctv camera, dome type preferably, something in the style of a Tapo C500.
I have a 240v cable supplying an outdoor light, very near to where the camera will be positioned that I could tap into .
Although the Tapo is described as mains power it looks like it uses a plug adapter, that's no good to me .....do they make these type of cameras that can be connected directly to a 240v supply ?
Cheers

Very rare now to find a 240v camera ….just take a feed off the light and fit a plug or switched fuse spur

The 240v cable is external around the house on 2 sides back to the consumer unit.
How do I get to step down to 9v.....or whatever voltage the camera uses...... without coming into the house? Is there such a thing ? There are no internal sockets nearby to spur off
