Hi there,
Redoing my garden and want to add a small retaining wall. I've read about and just wondered if someone could confirm I am doing this right before I start as I can't find a lot on such small walls!

The required height is 27cm.

I am planning to dig to 200mm below the lower level of the garden. Fill with concrete and level. Then build up using concrete blocks (2 layers - using these blocks: http://www.diy.com/nav/build/buildi...___blocks/7N-Solid-Dense-Block-Grey-9273670).

A dpm behind the blocks and 3 drainage holes spaced equally.

On the ground the wall is retaining is a garden shed on a concrete base over most of it along with 2m of soil on one side. It's level all the way across.

Anything I can do less of or better ideas? :)

Thanks!

Chris
