You could use a CT gland made by Charles en Direct. They have a brass ferrels onto which the armour is secured with a hose clip. They are also known as L plate glands due to the ferrel being mounted on an L shaped brass plate to be screwed onto a backboard.

my sugestion 3 is exactly what he put... (i hadn't read his when posting.. )
sugestion 2 secures the cable in place and privides an earth termination.
sugestion 1 is a last ditch solution only
you could do what the DNO's do.. just stip back the outer sheath, gather the armor together and sleeve with green sleeving and then terminate like that.. ( heat shrink over the exposed transition to the sleeving.. )
granted the picture below is splitcon or whatever but same principle...
