2port valve

hot water selected on programmer, pump starts, boiler kicks in but, 2port valve doesnt seem to work.. fault valve? metel lever on side loose..

it must be if the boiler/pump etc has kicked in.

why do you think it's not working ?
what make valve is it ?

pipe hot up to valve, cold after..not sure on make as its at work..will find out 2moz. any other reason y it mite not b workin??

you say it's at work.
has the system been drained at all or worked on lately ?
is the system running heating as well and does that work ok ?
how long does the boiler run for on hw only ?

need more info on system.

Have had one like this where the valve motor worked but the ball (a Honeywell valve) had stuck on the valve seat in the off position and the motor just stretched the ball which had been affected by some cheapo additive.

This is a rare fault though and unlikely though it's the first thing that comes to mind if the motor's moving and making the end switch but no heat is reaching the cylinder to re-heat it. Could be just a physical obstruction in the valve.

sorry 4 the late reply lads.. the system runs heating and hot water, heating runs fine, but like ive said when hot water selected we dont get any. honeywell 2ports, lifestyle programmer, ideal mexico 2 boiler. we have worked in this unit for 12 month and never had hot water, system hasnt been worked on or drained while we been there.
