I have fitted a full-bore drain-off to the CH, using a 3/4" BSP tee as used for washing machines. A drain hose fits on this and it flows out well.

I would like to put a capnut or something on it as a secondary defence against it being accidentally opened but can't see such a thing in the shed or Screwfix site.

I found that an 18mm stop-end adaptor won't fit (I have plenty of 3/4" nuts as used on radiators).

Is this a thing I should be able to get off the shelf? What is its proper name?

Or can I bodge something up, like a 3/4 disk in a radiator nut? The pressure is not high as it is an open system.

TIA

p.s. it strikes me that such a capnut would also be ideal for a leaky radiator valve, when you take a rad off e.g. for decorating.

:!: Thanks! So it's called a Blank Nut.

Hope I won't have to buy a box of 25...
