Hi all ,
I rent a property out and was there the other day prior to new tenant moving in .
Whilst checking things over I noticed the previous tenant had meddled with the loop to boiler and had increased the pressure to over 3 bar .

I closed the loop off (which he seemed to have left open ) and bled the bit of air out of the system and a good couple of pints of water bringing the pressure back to 1 bar which i was told to have in by the plumber who fitted the central heating system .

Does this sound OK and what sort of damage could he have caused if any ??
Thanks for any info .
Regards
Rob.

You've done the right thing. Keep an eye on it but there's no reason for any damage to have occurred. You may want to ensure that there's sufficient inhibitor in the system as a matter of course.

Thanks Swidders for the quick reply .
Regards
Rob .

Top up inhibitor sounds like sensible idea .
