High pressure, please help

Thanks didn't know if the water went left thru the silver pipe from the metal pipe or right and stop before the metal down pipe, if that makes sense

Are the filling loop and vessel easy to change yourself or is it gas safe engineer job.

The other valve is a type of one way valve. Should have an arrow embossed on the body of it to show the direction that it will only allow water to flow through it.

No it's nothing to do with gas. If you are reasonably competent working with plumbing you can do it yourself.

If the pressure vessel air has gone so it's nearly all water, the pressure on the guage goes up very rapidly when the remaining small volume of air gets compressed by the boiler water heating up.

If that screwdriver slot tap IS letting by, then the system will charge up to the mains pressure, maybe 3 bar or so, and pre-squash the air.

To be sure to be sure, the pipe I marked M is Mains cold feed,
The one marked CHW is central heating water, and the non-return valve where I put the (diode) symbol will only pass water left to right. You're supposed to leave the hose off (few do). The idea is that the dirty boiler water can't get back into the mains.

Hi guys.

The pressure is still rising up to over 3bar. The red vessel now feels very heavy.

The mid position valve keeps getting stuck it's motorised but doesn't move u have to now manually move it, it has w, m ,h but it seems only it move to middle manually. Also the water is taking forever to hot up left it on for over hour today and it's just warm.

Also the rads get slightly warm even if u manage to get the mid valve onto w.

Can a filling loop be changed yourself are they easy to do.

Has the central heating system got to be drained to replace the filling loop?.
