Hi, I have a three gang light switch in the Kitchen. 2 of the switches are on one circuit and control the main kitchen light and unit underlights. The third switch of the 3 gang controls a conservatory light but is on a different lighting circuit (eg a different MCB at the consumer unit) Is this situation acceptable?? If not, is a possible option to convert the 3 gang switch to a 2 gang controlling the kitchen lights only on one circuit, and install a seperate 1 gang switch next to it controlling the conservatory light on the seperate lighting circuit, thus making it physically seperate. The consumer unit is 17th edition by the way. I would be glad of any advice.

Yep, Holmesie is right - nothing wrong with that at all.

As already said, there is nothing wrong with your installation, BUT if it gives you peace of mind put a label in the box behind the switch. This will warn anyone who takes the switch off that there are two supplies.
