I had a boilor break down. 3 port got changed then got banging in pipes mainly above pump.

T is not blocked. I got this changed. All radiators heating up hot and bled. Thermostat got changed. Pump lowered down.

I can only think the new 3 ports shuts faster than old one causing back hammer ?

Any ideas

Sorry. Is this pic OK?

Thanks

When a engineer changed a 3 port valve 2 months ago this bamging started. I am not at the property.

But if they shut the pump valve to work on 3 port and not opened back up fully could this cause the banging

Is itva spanner to turn this valve. Anyone please ?

Its to slow down the flow around the coil if needed , going on that picture I would say the cold feed to the cylinder is going to be on the left some where.

Yes a spanner will work on that valve , looks like it may have snapped to me .... or it might just be the angle of the pic

They may make semse if has been snapped. I cannot work it out off pic

Here is a better picture. Could tjese valves be blocked up causing bamging.

Or if they got shut off to chamge 3 port could the valves of not bee. Fully opened or seized ?

Anyone help much appreciated. I have a bamging noise and getting grief of tennent

If it started when the valve was changed, why not get the guy back?

I'm sorry not following B is on hot water and A is on central heating ?

Are you saying there is something not right with the new 3 port setup ?
