The electrician finally got round to doing the work.
The hob was wired to the 32A supply.
I was a bit concerned with what they did with the oven though. A 13A plug was put on the oven cable and they plugged it in to a double sock that was fed from the former immersion heater 16A supply. Apparently it's safe to use the oven and microwave at the same time plugged in to the double socket, however Google suggests you absolutely can't do this?
