3-Way Valve not Working Correctly - Wiring

Hi,
I've updated the diagram (CH Wiring3).

bazdaman; picasso; D_Hailsham & jeff the gasman - appreciate your help.

With hot water on there IS power to the grey wire on the motorised valve (terminal 7) !

By switching off the power and then turning it on again I find;

HW on only - terminals 1, 4, 6, 7 & 8 LIVE

CH on only - terminals 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 LIVE

HW & CH on - terminals 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 (weak) & 8 LIVE

1. Does the hot water problem occur all the time, or only after you have had the only heating on? - all time (I'm using the emersion heater for HW)

2. Can you get hot water and heating at the same time? - no

3. Can you get hot water by itself when you restore the power? - yes

It looks like the wiring is incorrect at the programmer.

assuming the tempus 7 programmer has an industry standard backplate.

Please mark on your diagram the output numbers on the backplate to the relevant wires leaving it.

So a piece of the kit is screwed ! - Thanks
Follow the fault finding instructions I posted earlier and you will find out which one!

Have you checked that the jumper on the back of the Tempus 7 is in the A (pumped) position?
