OP - you are missing the point, it doesn’t matter what some electrician tells you on the internet.

What matters is how the electrician who is going to sign the certificate wants the work done.

For example if we tell you that 6mm cable is fine and you buy and install it but when he comes he says it must be 10 then you have wasted time and money.

Or you clip it along the fence and he will not accept it on a temporary structure, or you run it to your consumer unit but he will only install using Henley block and additional box, etc
There are far too many variables and as I mentioned before; I've spent more time putting the errors right than if i did the whole job which has cost the customer more in labour and chances are they paid more for materials than the electrician will charge.
