Hi All,

im planning on doing a 3 to 4m double storey rear extension to my house. Looking at the existing roof trying to figure out if i would need a complete new roof cut and pitched or the existing could be modified with the front kept etc.

Advise appreciated. I know theres not much info to work on.

Its the Bottom middle house if its not obvious.

Should also say i was thinking it would be full width. Probably 3m out looking at the 45 deg line from the left hand neighbours window

Probably a new roof from the middle back, leaving all of the existing rafters in place, so a pitched roof all round as you have now but with a flat roof in the middle.

Thank you. I thought it might have to be like that with a crown top.

Thats got some benefits too rather than what i had planned originally as it gives more space on the 2nd for a potential future loft con.
