4 gang? light switch replacement - rewire advice needed

I'm not sure I've even bought the correct replacement part...

Com = L
1 way = L1

You shouldn't need to use the remaining terminal.

(If in the unlikely event the switches appear to work upside down, then use L2 instead of L1.)
 
Did you know you have a mirror switch (old picture).

How did you manage that?

Connect as SParkwright says. If you turn the new switch round 180degrees then the layout will be exactly the same!
 
Will - you would not have needed to ask here if you had:

a) A genuine (and absolutely necessary) understanding of what switches do, and

b) A multimeter, which is a tool which is just as necessary as screwdrivers, wire cutters, etc.

But you will have to use L2 if the switch is inverted.
 
I can identify them. It all of them in the switch :LOL:

Maybe a statement that a DIYer can understand my help!
 
I was referring to them not being correctly identified (marked), which obviously is not permitted by BS7671.
