4 way weatherproof switch

No, sorry. This is the updated version of what I've used before. I have not used this one, but its predecessor.

It is more expensive and only has three outputs.

Thanks, that's handy, both of them seem to be designed to accept flex which I thought was a bit of a no no in the garden and in my case it will run under a path and a flower bed so SWA is a must. I was planning to use 1.5mm 3 core SWA at least for the supply, but can't find the overall diameter of such cable. The blagdon states a max cable diameter of 9mm so will have to get some 1.5 SWA and see if it fits! The other one makes no mention of the max cable diameter but 2.5mm SWA definatly doesn't fit. The load cables will all be different sizes (pond pump, lights etc) so I will probably use some 20mm conduit with suitable adaptor to connect into the box and keep things nice and tidy. I asked the tech sup line for the one I got if they had any recommendations but they weren't familiar with their product!

SWA needs to be terminated with a proper SWA gland, it may be possible to remove one or more of the glands from those boxes and replace it with a SWA gland but it's difficult to tell without having the gear in front of you.

Thanks. I'll post some pics tonight, but since I'm not using the armour for earth my understanding is that the SWA only needs the armour earthing with a gland at one end (that can be done at the supply end in the garage where the connection is to be made) as an extraneous conductive part. The 4 way switch end of the armour will be into the nylon weather proof gland that came with the thing, the 3rd core will be used as earth.

The SWA fits nicely into the supply gland
You've forgotten the other part of the gland once - don't forget it a 2nd time when glanding the other end of the SWA...

but I was wanting to replace the load glands to run conduit up rather than having cables dangling.
Probably standard 20mm holes, should be straightforward.
