Hey guys,

I'm doing some renovations on my house and the current project is making a simple drain area. It is a simple rectangle shape. Approximately 120x45x50cm. It will be completely tiled, with a drain at the back. And the bottom will be sloped slightly towards the drain.

The problem I have is: the current drain is a simple 20x20cm, which is square, and I need to have a new 40mm PVC pipe drain into that.

I'm wondering what the best way to do this is? I've tried searching for some kind of adaptor, but I haven't found anything.

Perhaps just a sheet of marine ply, and seal it with some silicon?

I've attached some pictures so you get a better idea.

Thanks!

All the adapters appear to be round. As you say some sheet material silicone into place with a 40mm rubber boss adapter through a hole??
