Hi, does anyone know where you can obtain the 45mm thick shelving used in the construction of tables, units etc. I think it is foam filled and the sample I have is 360mm wide. Many thanks Chris.

Hi, I know it's rather specialist with particular fixings but I have cut, modified and re-made this foam filled material in the past to re-fabricate an article of furniture. I just wondered if it was available for retail purchase - and what it is actually called. And, yes thanks, I do realise it's available in 'floating shelf' form from various outlets but I wanted rather larger lengths to fabricate wall units. many thanks, Chris.

Would a 38mm platinum white kitchen worktop not do your job?

Just cut it to size and apply a suitable edge banding.

Some kitchen suppliers provide a bespoke flat bonding service and will
provide to order.

Hi Norcon, yes what you suggest could be the answer only thing is I really only want a width of around 300mm but good suggestion. many thanks Chris.

40mm and 50mm worktop can also be bought in some places, which may be better for you?

Can you post a pic of what you have? Maybe you can fix a couple of white shelves together to get what you want?

Hi Phatboy and thanks for the reply. I could do what you suggest but the idea - originally - was to find out if the foam filled panelling was available retail. It looks as though its not! But many thanks for your input. All the best and thanks to everyone who replied. Chris.
