I am going to install a 5 KW pool heater and have the following question:

It requires a current of 23 amps, is it possible to spur off the socket ring and install its own fuse?

So I need to take a line directly from the CU with 25-30 amp breaker on it?

Also there will be the pump running of it.

You need to take full account of the circuit requirements which will include the location of the heater and pump relative to the pool zones and the installation equipotential zone, the load, volt drop, mechanical cable protection RCD provision, adequacy of earthing and bonding and the Building Regulations, as this is notifiable work.

This is not really a job for somebody needing to ask the original question. Please get quotes from registered electricians.
