had a few walls in the kitchen re-plastered about 6 weeks ago..
do I still need to use a watered down mist coat or will it be ok neat now that it's properly dried?

Oh dear, yes you undoubtedly have  . Without a couple of watered down mist coats (25-30%), the paint won’t stick to the plaster at all well & will probably give problems in the future. Try sticking a piece of masking tape or Selotape to the wall & pulling it off, if the paint comes off it doesn’t look too good; lumps could even crack & peel off of their own accord eventually.
