I have no idea why the OP needs 100 amps. I have had customers in the past that blew the 60 amp fuse when using electric heaters in a "tent" for a thanksgiving party.
Fair call. Nah, lovely Americans living in Barnes. Big tent in the garden, 40 guests, lots of electric heaters plus food being cooked by the catering company. They phoned their builder who swung by and replaced the fuse and recommended that they reduce the amount of heaters.
yeah abit silly really i suppose one plus would be that if you did get to the 60amp limit and blow it your blowing your own fuse that you can replace if you blew the main service fuse whats the time scale of being with no power for the dno to come replace the fuse ?
ive mentioned to BG that i would prefer a fused isolator when they come to fit one as im looking at moving the consumer more that 3 meters in the near future
Another question 16mm twin and earth is the max twin and earth as far as i know which is rated at 85amp when clipped
So if i did upgrad to 100amp then what cable would be used for the 10 meter run from the meter to the consumer ?
Also if using 16mm twin and earth why does a seperate earth cable run with the 16mm why cant you use the earth in the twin and earth ?
Haha yeah maybe a future plan but no i just though the mondern way if you was doing upgrades was to upgrade to a 100amp im learning and gaining a understanding like what does a average house run at amp wise any way near 60 80 or 100 im guessing not
