Had a new cooker delivered today, the delivery slot was 7am - 10am. A further appointment has been arranged for it to be connected/installed, time slot 7.15am - 8am.

Yes it's a first world problem, however I feel things like appliance deliveries shouldn't take place until 8am earliest. We're not all early morning people!!!

:(

p.s. full disclosure, the delivery team didn't contact me until 8.15 and arrived 8.30, however the point is you've to be up and ready regardless of when they actually come.

I suppose it is a bit early, though it wouldn't bother me, my alarm goes off at 6.30 anyway.

Same here, the thought of listening to Zoe Ball umming and erring any more makes me leap out of bed to take on the world

Yeah I've never been a morning person, even when younger. My mates would be at the door asking if I was coming out to play ... I'd still be in my bed!

The flip side is I enjoy sitting up late, although I then suffer in the morning ... vicious circle but I'm damned if I'll be going to bed at something like 10pm, nae chance!

had a few of those deliveries, on 1 I was told to expect the delivery between 7am & 10PM !!!!! - I questioned this timescale - BUT was told tht was the hours the drivers worked and they could not be more specific
and i would get an email/text with a timeslot by 10am !!!!!!!!!
crazy -
I then found out , they went to the depot at around 8am to load the delivery for the day , and so 9am would be the earliest they could arrive anyway, but the time depended on how they loaded the van for the route.

And i had to be in to SIGN, or at least be at the door while they photographed .... otherwise they would take the item back
in the END the item was just left on the door step, and they did not knock, as we were in ALL day waiting, so would NOT have missed a knock
So they left on the porch which i asked to happen right at the time of ordering

FFS 7:00am is half way through the day. You should be grateful they're getting it done early so you can get on with the rest of your day.

Winter months, such as now, up without an alarm around 6.30am Summer usually up around 4.30am, again, with no alarm.
Usually go to bed around 10.30 -11.00pm and watch TV till midnight. Always been a early riser and late going to bed. Thankfully my wife is on a very similar body clock.
