I think that's a mistake, an earlier manual revision maybe, it doesn't say that ....
So, 8.5kW. I don't quite see how two fans, 1 or 2 15w lamps and the LED display make up the other 0.3kW though!

Indeed - as you will have seen, I wrote those very same things just before you (probably whilst you were typing) - and I described that 0.3 kW 'extra' as 'somewhat generous'

Very misleading of RAngemaster.

Be thankful they have given you kW figures and not just kWh for standard tasks like heating up bricks or burning garlic bread.

So a 6mm cable is fine then John ?

Am I the only person, or one of a very few persons, who has never encountered an oven where you can use the grill and the oven elements simultaneously?

No, I'm sure you're in plenty of good company, but maybe most of us have not encountered a cooker like the OPs. It looks as if the grill might well have its own dedicated cavity, and the manufacturer seems to have added the consumptions of the grill and both ovens to get the 'maximum kW' figure - implying that it may well be is possible to have all three operating simultaneously in the case of this appliance. Of course, that figure does not take account of diversity.
